In order to apply for University studies in Serbia, one has to complete 12 years ( or 11) of previous education, primary and secondary school. In some countries it is 8 + 4 ( years) and in some it is 10+2.
The candidates who completed their secondary education abroad have to present their Diploma / Secondary School Degree Certificate to be recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Republic of Serbia.
After completing the Recognition process, the candidates apply for the enrollment in the first year of undergraduate studies at the University or College of their choice.
Enrollment is competition based, for the certain number of places for foreign students, announced by the chosen University, and it depends on the rank achieved on the list of applicants. The list is made based on the score achieved by adding the number of points the student has achieved at the entrance exam and previous education.
In order to study in Serbia as a foreign student, one has to successfully pass the entrance exam. Depending on the chosen College, the entrance exam could be in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, general culture, writing etc.
